The Sangeet Natak Akademi awards for 2018 presented
The Sangeet Natak Akademi awards and fellowships for 2018 were presented to artists by the vice president of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu on April 9, 2022.
Among the recipients of Akademy Ratna awardees is Bharatanatyam guru Tiruvidaimarudur K. Kalyanasundaram along with Zakir Hussain (Tabla), Jati Goswami (Sattriya), Sonal Mansingh (Odissi)
Senior Carnatic musicians Alamelu Mani, Malladi Suribabu, nadaswaram vidwans S. Kasim & S. Babu, and violinists Ganesh & Kumaresh are awarded the Akademi Puraskar among other artistes.

Following the presentation of awards, a 11-day festival featuring the awardees is held at Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi from April 9 – 19, 2022.
